USAGA Selected to Receive Funds Through Industry’s ‘Make Golf Your Thing’ Grant Program
Westmont, Illinois 6/17/24 – The U.S. Adaptive Golf Alliance (USAGA) has been selected to receive funding through a dedicated grant program operated by the golf industry’s DEI campaign, Make Golf Your Thing. As one of 81 designated organizations across the U.S., the USAGA was chosen for its efforts to increase golf participation among underrepresented populations of the sport.
USAGA and Challenged Athletes Foundation Host Inspiring Adaptive Golf Clinics
Earlier this month, the US Adaptive Golf Association (USAGA) and the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF) successfully hosted a series of adaptive golf clinics at the Metropolitan Golf Links and The Olympic Club in Northern California. The event began with a coaching clinic on May 19th, attended by 20 dedicated professionals, including pro golfers, athletes, and healthcare experts. The coaches gained valuable insights and practical knowledge on adaptive golf, leaving them energized and eager to apply their new skills at their respective golf clubs. The following day, these coaches joined the participant clinic, providing exceptional instruction and support to attendees.
2024 Junior Board Topgolf Fundraiser Recap
The Junior Board, comprised of dedicated Lyons Township women's golf team players led by Addison Wanatabe, orchestrated a remarkable fundraiser at Topgolf Naperville for the US Adaptive Golf Alliance (USAGA). This event, aimed at supporting adaptive golf and fostering inclusion for individuals with disabilities, exceeded expectations.
USAGA at 2024 Chicago Golf Show
We had a wonderful time at the Chicago Golf Show, presented by the Chicago District Golf Association, last weekend! This event, held in Rosemont, provided a great opportunity to discuss adaptive golf with golfers from all around Chicago. NATIONAL ALLIANCE LAUNCHES RECOGNIZED ACCESSIBLE GOLF FACILITY CERTIFICATE
The Golf Wire, Feb 6, 2024: Charleston, SC: The National Alliance for Accessible Golf (the Alliance) announces the launch of a self-assessment process to guide golf facilities towards recognition by the National Alliance for Accessible Golf as an Accessible Golf Facility.
ARCIS GOLF PARTNERS WITH U.S. ADAPTIVE GOLF ALLIANCE FOR SIXTH YEAR
Arcis Golf, the second largest owner and operator of private, resort and daily fee facilities in the United States, is honored to continue its financial, course and program support of the United States Adaptive Golf Alliance (USAGA) in 2024. This will be the sixth consecutive year of partnership support. Making golf accessible to a broad cross section of audiences has been one of Arcis’ core tenets since its founding nearly a decade ago.

‘Golf For All’ Chairman Bob Beach Honored by Special Olympics of Massachusetts
BOSTON - December 14, 2023 – Bob Beach, Co-Founder, Chairman and Director of Golf For All (Northeast Accessible Golf Association), is recognized by Special Olympics Massachusetts, the Massachusetts Golf Association and the New England PGA for his life of service enhancing the lives of people with disabilities through the game of golf.
USAGA Receives Dupage Foundation Grant
The USAGA is proud to have received a grant through DuPage Foundation’s Community Needs Grant Program (CNGP) to help support adaptive golf in Dupage County. DuPage Foundation awarded more than $600,000 to 46 DuPage County not-for-profit organizations. Thanks to additional donations from DuPage Foundation’s donors and donor-advisors, the Foundation was able to grant $230,000 above its regular Community Needs grant budget.
Issac Ziebell Received Bronze At the 2023 Special Olympics Illinois

USAGA welcomes the Japan Disabled Golf Association
The USAGA is proud to welcome our newest international member, the Japan Disabled Golf Association! They just completed the 28th Japan Open Golf Championship for People with Disabilities. This 36-hole stroke play even started in 1996 and includes around 80 players. Congradulations to Masato Koyamada for winning the championship this year, his 3rd victory! This is the first year the tournament is being included in the USAGA’s adaptive golf tournament rankings.

In honor of #nationalgolfmonth The U.S. Adaptive Golf Alliance invites you to contribute to help support the physical and cognitive needs of veterans, first responders, children with special needs, and individuals with disabilities through their inclusion in adaptive golf. In 2022, USAGA provided over 6,200 adaptive golf lessons. We also entered 29 competitive events provided by our member organizations into our USAGA Rankings. We are on pace to exceed last year’s impact in 2023, but need your support to achieve our goals.

Our Community is Your Community. GAIN is a free communications forum provided to foster the growth of a stronger national network of information, education and resources to serve the community of golfers with disabilities and those that lead and support these efforts.
