USAGA Receives Gatorade Equity in Sports Community

The USAGA is proud to have received the Gatorade Equity in Sports Community Grant for $10,000 to provide S.N.A.G. clinics! We appreciate their contribution to adaptive sports and helping us provide adaptive golf lessons to many young students.

The possibilities of sport are limitless and extend far beyond the field. That’s why Gatorade is working to create more opportunities for equity and belonging in sport to help level the playing field, together. The Gatorade Equity in Sports Community Grant Program was launched in Spring 2022 as part of Gatorade’s Equity in Sports Initiative. Gatorade is committed to helping remove barriers to allow all athletes the opportunity to play by focusing on three areas:

• Programs: Resourcing community programs that help kids play in a safe, welcoming environment

• Access: Providing access to sports facilities, equipment, apparel and transportation

• Training: Training coaches on how to be champions for equity and inclusion

As part of our overall commitment, Gatorade is joining forces with nationalorganizations, including Athlete Ally, Good Sports, Honest Game Foundation, Laureus USA, Move United and the Women’s Sports Foundation, tapping into their grassroots networks and expertise to co-develop programming,

measures and actions that advance equity in sports. Gatorade is also supporting local organizations that help break down barriers in their own communities through the Gatorade Equity in Sports Community Grant Program.

Thanks to GATORADE.com for their support!
