USAGA and Challenged Athletes Foundation Host Inspiring Adaptive Golf Clinics

Earlier this month, the US Adaptive Golf Association (USAGA) and the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF) successfully hosted a series of adaptive golf clinics at the Metropolitan Golf Links and The Olympic Club in Northern California. The event began with a coaching clinic on May 19th, attended by 20 dedicated professionals, including pro golfers, athletes, and healthcare experts. The coaches gained valuable insights and practical knowledge on adaptive golf, leaving them energized and eager to apply their new skills at their respective golf clubs. The following day, these coaches joined the participant clinic, providing exceptional instruction and support to attendees.

The participant clinic on May 20th was a highlight, featuring numerous new golfers, many of whom were experiencing the sport for the first time. One participant, Ella, shared her emotional experience, expressing that the clinic exceeded her expectations and allowed her to achieve something she never thought possible: hitting a golf ball. The clinics were a resounding success, underscoring the potential for more consistent adaptive golf programs in Northern California. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved for their dedication and effort in making this event a triumph.
